

Q. Can I only order the packages on the website?
A. No you can buy any combination that you like. We have put together what we feel are a good selection for buying on line. You can mix and match by selecting a surround under the mantels and marble sets and selecting a hearth and back from the drop down menu. To add a fire continue shopping from the checkout and select a fire from our gas or electric selection. If you have any problems please give us a call on 0161 408 8840 and we will be able to discuss your requirements.
Q. Some of your surround look the same as those on the high street or other internet sites, but they have different names, are they the same?
A. Often the same surround will have a different name but will be exactly the same. Try searching for the names you have seen using our search facility.
Q. How long does it take from ordering products to the day of delivery?
A. Delivery of goods will take up to 15 working days from payment. You will be fully advised of the exact delivery date within 48 hours of purchase. If you need an earlier delivery please call us before buying and will be able to give you a date for your location.
Q. Can I place my order by telephone?

Q. What if I want to talk to somebody or need advise?

Q. I don’t want to pay by card, am I able to pay by cheque?

Q. How much does delivery cost?
A. Delivery to anywhere in mainland UK costs £25
Q. Can I nominate a specific time & date for delivery?
A. We will endeavor to arrange delivery at the most convenient time for you and will provide you with the exact date and whether the delivery is scheduled for morning or afternoon.
Q. What days and times do you deliver?
A. Our delivery service works Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
Q. Will we be contacted on the day of delivery?
A. Our driver will contact you approximately 30 minutes before delivery, if you request this service. Otherwise we will only contact you if we are going to be outside the agreed delivery slot.
Q. Do you deliver to my area?
A. We deliver to any location on mainland Great Britain; customers wishing for deliveries elsewhere can contact us for a haulage quote.
Q. How long does it take for delivery?
A. We aim to deliver within 13 working days for fire surrounds and marble sets. Electric or gas fires will be dispatched within 72 hours. We will contact you to advise on all delivery times
Q. Are fireplaces supplied fully assembled?
A. Wooden mantels are completely assembled and bubble wrapped. Fires are provided in their manufacturer’s cardboard box and marble sets are cardboard wrapped separately.
Q. Are all of the mantels made from solid woods?
A .The majority of our wooden mantels are made from solid materials, these are highlighted as such. Non solid mantels are manufactured using the finest wooden veneers over high quality MDF.
Q. Is the Modern Range made from solid wood?
A .The Modern range has solid wood fronts with veneered returns over mdf. We use the highest quality mdf on all our surrounds to give maximum strength to this range. Because of the styling these surrounds need the high strength and non low warping quality's of mdf. This range looks fantastic and the fire surrounds look and are very high quality.
Q. What are downlights and are they installed?
A. Downlights come in pairs and are installed into the mantels at our factory. They are fitted to the underside of the mantel fascia and are provided with a switch and a plug.
Q. What is a hearth and back panel?

Q. What size is the hole in the back panel?
A. The cut out hole is 16.5 x 22.5 inches. This is a standard size and should fit most modern inset fires. We can make the hole bigger or smaller, please call us to discuss your requirements. Click Here for more information.
Q. Can your surrounds be used with solid fuel fires?
A. Yes they can, however you must inform us when you order one of our surrounds because we build them in a different way to ensure that they do not warp.
THIS IS A FREE SERVICE, We can not accept any surround back that has developed a fault if it is used with a solid fuel fire and we haven't been informed before manufacture. Please inform us in the coments box on thr checkout page if you are going to use the surround with a soid fuel fire. Also please check your rebate requirement - see below.
Q. What is a rebate and do I need one?
A. The rebate is the difference between your plastered wall and the face of your back panel. If we didn't include a rebate then when you put our surround against your back panel it would sit away from the wall. If you are not having a back panel and are putting the surround against a plastered wall you do not want a rebate (if you had one there would be 1 inch gap around the inside of the fire surround). As standard (on most surrounds), we include a rebate of 1 inch which when removed gives you a 3 inch rebate (1 or 3 inch rebate). However we can make the rebate to fit your back panel, please tell us what it is in the comments box in the checkout if it is not standard.

Q. What is the tolerance for size on standard and bespoke items?
A.We have up to a 1% tolerance on all given sizes due to variations in wood and finishing.
Q. How will I get my new fireplace installed?
A. We supply a fitting kit with all surrounds and they can be installed quite easily. If you are looking for a fitter any joiner or gas fitter will be able to instal the surround. If you are having a gas fire fitted you must use a Gas Safe registered engineer. All gas appliances MUST be fitted by a registered installer to comply with government safety legislation. Q. What warranties do the products carry?
A. All products carry a fully comprehensive twelve month warranty.
Q. What if the product is damaged on delivery?
A. All products have to be checked and signed for on delivery. Any damages MUST be reported to the driver and the necessary actions will be taken to resolve the damaged goods.
